It is becoming very difficult to keep this wonderful news from our families! For example, I was supposed to have lunch with my mom today, and as sad as this sounds, I was kind of relieved that she needed to reschedule. I'm not sure if I could have sat through the whole lunch without spilling the beans!! So, I went over to mom and dad's house after work. This guy, Trey, was there working on the house. Mom was introducing him to me and of course she went into the whole story of my life..."this our middle child, she's smart...she got her master's degree, then got married, but no kids yet". Then my dad chimes in, "she's pregnant now, but just doesn't know it". Luckily I had my back turned because I am terrible at lying to them and when he said that I immediately started smiling. I thought...does he know?!?!? I have been trying to figure out all night who could have told him! Well, I guess he was just being silly like always, but I really hope he doesn't know yet. Also, we are going to Ruston this weekend to spend time with Grady's family. I'm pretty sure it's going to be just as difficult over there. We both want to tell our families so bad, but we really want to wait until Thanksgiving!
I actually got really brave the other night and told Alan (my brother) the good news. He was so excited and I was so excited that he was excited! It felt good to be able to tell someone in the family. I figured since he wouldn't be in for Thanksgiving that I could go ahead and tell him. I am so excited that someone in my family finally knows!! Of course after that comment that dad made earlier, I had to call Alan and make sure he was still keeping it a secret (sorry Alan). I'm just nervous!!
When I got home tonight, we had a package from Amy & Josh. I was so excited to open it up. They had sent us our first baby gift!!! Yay!!! It was a really cool baby rattle and some onesies! Thanks guys! We love you!!
Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll post more when we get back from Ruston. Please pray that we can keep the happy news to ourselves!!!

YAY! We are so excited for ya'll! It's so funny how Jay and I both had "that" feeling! It was so good visiting with you and baby (girl) Perkins. And your secret is safe with Noah and I. Love you!
